22 Karat Yellow Gold Diamond Stud Earring with Multi-Color Enamel Work
This royal Mughal era hand-made floral polki diamond earring is alluring. The top part of the earring is formed of special broad and long pear shape flat polki diamond solitaires set in gold bezel setting surround the bigger center roundish shape polki solitaire diamond in bezel setting. The polki diamonds together form a 6-motif flower with round polki diamonds in-between each petal of the polki diamond flower to add more depth and structure to the earring. The outer gold on the earring gallery is covered with a thin line of red enamel work, making the look more dynamic.
The bottom half of the earring is formed by a solitaire pear shape polki diamond in closed bezel setting with the side gold complemented by red enamel like the top. The top and bottom part are adjoined with a round loop for more movement of the bottom diamond pear drop when worn.
The back of these meena earrings just like any other royal mughal pieces, is what differentiates and adds variety to these royal earring pieces. The earring back is fully enameled in green and red meena with floral and leaf engraving through the exposed thin yellow gold outlines.
